夢遊病者 (Sleepwalker) "5772"

On November 13th, AnnapurnA is proud to present 夢遊病者's 5772 in remastered form on digipack CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats. Sentient Ruin is partnering with AnnapurnA for the vinyl release, and will be exclusively handling the tape version.Sleepwalker was essentially born in three places and has been in existence since 2015. The members hail from Osaka, Tver, and New York, becoming acquainted online. The mantra of the band, if any, is to take cues from the improvisational school of jazz and the cathartic nature of ritual folk music and couple it with the raw energy of bands like Voivod and GISM. Thematically and conceptually, the lyrics and much of the visuals focus on different cultural traditions and ceremonies as well as familial experiences.

Whereas the first EP, ????????, was done entirely remotely from each respective locale (much akin to an "exquisite corpse" exercise and then mixed and mastered), 5772 was tracked live in a single location. A week of time was planned to get everything down as quickly as possible, relegating to overdubs for any additions. Everything was then mixed and mastered and pressed to cassette for the first pressing. The whole of the record is focused on cultural rituals, specifically related to death. The digipack, LP, and cassette reissue versions have been remastered.

Aynsophar "Abysmal Secrets of Unknown"

Aynsophar is the embodiment dream beyond Barbara Teleki's imagination. A one-girl progressive metal project made complete with guest vocalists. Her very first release ”Abysmal Secrets of Unkown” is the sound of her perseverance, four piece of fragments from her soul.
Inspired by spiritual theories, psychology and philosophy she is willing to channel her psyche to the listener while reflecting on the world's pain and beauties, wrapped and coated in dark, heavy music, balanced by fragile melodies.

Thy Serpent's Cult "Supremacy Of Chaos"

On October 27th, Ordo MCM is proud to present the third and final album of Thy Serpent's CultSupremacy of Chaos.

Hailing from the cult metal hotbed of Chile, Thy Serpent's Cult have been a veritable force of nature for nearly 10 years. Forming in 2008 and now gracefully bowing out on a high note, the quartet have skillfully crafted a scorching firestorm of a sound lo these many years, marrying the sulfurous atmosphere of ancient South American black metal to the jackhammering militancy of classic Krisiun, Deicide, and Angelcorpse. Thy Serpent's Cult released their second album in 2014 under the banner of Ordo MCM. Fittingly titled Sedition, Sorcery and Blasphemy, it was a whirlwind of darkness and dread, and was suitably hailed in the underground.

But now, sensing the end was nigh, Thy Serpent's Cult unleash their foulest and most dread energies with Supremacy of Chaos. Once again fittingly titled, Supremacy of Chaos reaps a hellish harvest of tornado-torn death metal, deeply and diabolically suffused with a tangibly occult aura. Here, Thy Serpent's Cult span all their trademark traits - martial surge, swirling vortex, boiling pressure - and send them deeper into the bowels of Hell. The title Supremacy of Chaos is telling, in that the band do indeed hail the supreme powers of chaos; and yet, in other ways, their songwriting is strict and finessed and hardly a chaotic thing. Nevertheless, with a production that ably balances the blood-red raw and robustly professional, Thy Serpent's Cult smother the senses with their overwhelming onslaught, thereby instilling a sensation of imminent chaos.

And as its last notes ring out, Supremacy of Chaos seals the coffin on Thy Serpent's Cult and preserves a legacy that will remain untarnished. Hail the old gods!

Well...

A new website, a free one. LOL
Simpler and easier for me.
I'm backing slowly, this time with reviews, maybe in the future in some interviews. Will see.

Follow us in the facebook and twitter.

In the future and if everything goes as planned, Blessed Altar Zine will have more persons doing reviews, or articles about anything we think that is worth of it.

Stay underground.
